What's Up Wednesday

Today I'm joining up with Sheaffer, Shay and Mel for What's Up Wednesday!

What we are eating this week...

I doubled this recipe, and we will be eating soup for weeks!

Shay's banana blueberry bread for her new cook book! ...except for I didn't have blueberries so I did banana strawberry bread instead!

What I'm loving...

We enjoying the Abilene Philharmonic! I highlighted it over at The Abilene Post last weekend.

What we've been up to...

This weekend we enjoyed a fun birthday party at Power Up Inflatables.

Can you tell how sweaty they are?!

On Sunday after church, we headed to my mom's house, and I didn't take any pictures!

But I did find a few selfies on my phone....

What I'm reminiscing about...

When did Baker get so big?!

Especially when this was just yesterday...

People were not kidding when they say it goes by fast.

What I'm dreading...

The day Fisher flips over in this fountain. It is at Baker's school. We have to put our hands in it everyday, and it's just a matter of time before he ends up all wet.

What I'm excited about...

GIRLS WEEKEND!!

I can't wait to spend the weekend with these ladies. We are meeting up and heading to Round Top! I've never been, and I'm so excited. Any tips?

What I'm watching...

I'm almost finished with The Good Wife. I only have 6 episodes left.

These guys....
seriously make the show. Anyone else feel that way? I love them.

This show is going to be so good! My only concern is actually watching a show while it is airing. I'm more of a binge watcher! I'm going to try and be patient!

What I'm listening to...
(click for link!)

This sound machine is my favorite thing to listen to!
It means:

A - my kids are sleeping
B- I am sleeping

Both are wins in my book! This little machine is life changing!

What I'm wearing...

Tami Taylor we love you!

What I'm doing this weekend...

Girls weekend!!!

What I'm looking foward to next month...

Jayton homecoming is coming up! It's Austin's very favorite event.

This was Baker at homecoming 2 years ago!

We also have a family wedding in October! I love spending time with my family, and I'm looking forward to a fun weekend.

The last time we were all together was my sister's wedding day!

What else is new...

My entryway is new!

Favorite fall recipes...

I love chicken pot pie in the winter! yum!

Happy weekend friends!!

Friday Favorites 9.23.16

FRIYAY!

Happy Friday friends!

I'm linking up for Friday Favorites with Erika, Andrea and Narci!

{ONE}

My favorite post this week was our entryway reveal. Judging by your responses, it was yours too!

I put together a little side by side, before, during and after photos for you.

Click HERE to see the full post!

{TWO}

Donuts with DAD!

Baker enjoyed donuts with dad this week!

He made this donut craft with his dad.

{THREE}

While Baker was enjoying donuts, Fisher and I headed to the grocery store. When we walked out, Fisher spotted one of his FAVORITE things, a fire truck!

Fisher is obsessed with Paw Patrol's Marshall. Marshall drives a fire truck.

He kept saying "Marshall, firetruck" over and over again. We headed over to see the fire truck and the firemen jumped out to see him. It was so sweet. They let him sit in their firetruck too.

Day made. Fisher LOVED it.

{FOUR}

Target dollar spot. It's my favorite.

I might have a small addiction to their banners!

{FIVE}

These are my FAVORITE candies! I normally buy them around Easter but the halloween version was yummy too!

These candies remind my of my mom! And driving all over College Station to find them with Deena!

Girls these are good!

That's it friends!! Happy weekend!!

Rodeo and Oktoberfest!

We kicked off our weekend by heading to The West Texas Fair and Rodeo on Friday night. It started pouring right about the time we pulled up to the Expo Center. The weather has been terrible lately so we ran straight inside and skipped the carnival.

Hardin Simmons' Six White Horses

Baker was ALL about the rodeo. He loved every second and watched the entire thing. I couldn't believe he sat so still and watched.

Fisher on the other hand, was just there for the popcorn.

Then our kids saw their FAVORITE people and forgot all about us. The Butler boys love Jenna and Kody.

On Saturday afternoon, we headed to the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra Oktoberfest.
The boys enjoyed the petting zoo.

I mean, they REALLY enjoyed the petting zoo. They fed all the animals.

(look at Fisher's face!)

And then they both rode the horse.

We enjoyed a yummy dinner and some polka music.

And then took our kids home to a babysitter.

Austin and I returned to the civic center for the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra concert.

The concert was amazing. I just got to sit, rest and enjoy the relaxing music. It was the perfect date night for a busy mom of toddlers!

On Sunday morning, Baker woke us up bright and early at 3 A.M. Normally he would cuddle up and go right back to bed, but he was having such a bad allergy attack that he wouldn't go back to sleep.

Fast forward to 8:45 when it was time to load up for church and this is how I found him.

SERIOUSLY!

We were planning on officially joining our new church that morning and I was NOT going to stay at home. I seriously felt like the devil was trying to keep us from church, and he wasn't going to win.

Austin was already at church because he is now playing in the orchestra on Sunday mornings, which meant I was alone with the boys.

 I loaded up Fisher and my sleeping three year old to the car. Baker didn't budge, and stayed fast asleep until I pulled up at church.

If you know Baker, then you know he doesn't always wake up in the best mood. After a small battle, we all made it to our classes and we officially joined our new church.

Our monkey....

We are so happy to have a new church home. We visited a lot of great churches and met a lot of amazing people over the last year.

 We are thankful to have a place that feels like home.
