What's Up Wednesday!

I'm linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What's Up Wednesday!

 1. What we're eating this week..

and everthing from Mix & Match Mama's new cookbook!!

You can pre-order yours here!

2. What I'm reminicing about...

We had such a great summer! We are reminiscing about all our fun trips!

3 What I'm loving...

Being at home!! Seriously! We did a lot of traveling this summer, and I'm so glad to be settled at home.
We've been working on a lot of house projects!

Look at those stained beams!!

4. What we've been up to...

We've been having so much fun exploring our new town! I've been writing a weekly column, The Butlers Do, over at The Abilene Post!

You can see some of what we've been doing here!

Beltway Coffee Company (indoor playground!)

And don't forget about Walmart Grocery Pick-Up!! LIFE CHANGING!!

5. What I'm dreading...
Should I be dreading something?! I can't think of anything!

6. What I'm working on...
We are trying to finish up our house! So I'm working on finding lighting and picking colors for the master bedroom!

I also got a sewing machine last year, and with all the hustle of moving and remodeling, it's sat in the box.  I would love to get it out and get some projects going this fall!

7. What I'm excited about...
Baker starts back to preschool next week. I AM SOOO READY! He has been in a little world of his own the last few weeks, and I think we both need a little change!
Come on school!

8. What I'm watching/reading...
I just finished reading a 4 part series by Scott Westerfield.

Uglies, Pretties, Specials and Extras

These books are dystopian fiction. They were interesting and I liked them a million times more than The Maze Runners series. The concept is very odd but I feel like that's what make it so creative and addicting.

I love Debbie Macomber. She never lets me down. I just finished A Girl's Guide to Moving On
It was light, sweet, and just what I needed after reading end of the world books!

9. What I'm listening to...

This is the worst question for me!!! I clearly don't listen to enough music!

10. What I'm wearing...

I splurged on this cardigan during the Nordstrom anniversary sale. It's seriously this best thing I've ever worn!

I also grabbed these during the sale! I love them, and have been wearing them daily.

11. What I'm doing this weekend...

Austin's parents are coming, and we have a busy Labor Day weekend planned!

12. What I'm looking foward to next month...

Our September calendar is extremely empty!  YAY!

13. What else is new...

14. What is your favorite transition piece for fall?

These flats! Are the perfect fall transition piece!

Happy Wednesday friends!!

Friday Favorites 8.26.16

Happy Friday friends!
I'm linking up with Erika, Andrea and Narci for Friday Favorites!

1. This fun suprise showed up on my door this week!

Want to see what is inside?

It's my sweet friend Shay's new cookbook!!

Isn't the packaging adorable?

Fisher couldn't wait to get his hands on it! And I felt the same way!

I immediately got in the kitchen and whiped up this Strawberry Lemon Bread (page 93).

It was DELICOUS!! And everyone's new favorite!

I am obsessed with the layout of this cookbook. Shay organized it by month! Want a side dish for Thanksgiving? Perfect head to November and pick one out! Simple. I just love it!

I also couldn't get over all the gorgeous pictures!

You can pre-order a cook book now! (click the image for link)

And you can find her other cookbooks on amazon too. (click images for links)

Meal Planner is on sale right now! I'm ordering some for Christmas gifts! I think Baker's preschool teachers would love a copy!

2. On Sunday evening we hosted a back-to-school dinner for one of our favorite college girls, Anna!

Remember my bestie Deena? Anna grew up in the church where Deena's husband, Paul, is the associate pastor. When we moved to Abilene the Faselers connected us with Anna. She has been a sweet part of our family ever since!

We had Shay's Strawberry Lemon Bread for dessert! It was a hit with everyone. I doubled the recipe and sent Miss Anna home with some too!

3. At church on Sunday we enjoyed the annual Roundup Sunday! It included a church wide supper and inflatables!!

Fisher was cracking us up! He climbed up the big inflatables like a champ!

Seriously, my boys were in heaven, it was their favorite!!!!!

4. We also got to visit one of our favorite places Saturday evening, Monks Coffee Shop!

We enjoyed Toasted Traveler food truck for dinner!

And watched our buddy Chad compete in the latte art competition!

It was so much fun!

5.  We have been loving this trampoline!

It's my favorite, because guess what? I can jump on it too!!

YES! the weight limit is 175 lbs! but it's still a mini size and I don't have to boost anyone up to climb on!

It is such a good work out for me! I am  seriously loving it!!

You can find it here. (click on the picture for link!)

Side note: my boys insist on being naked in the backyard ALL the time. It was a struggled to get appropriate pictures of them jumping. Ya'll!!! I don't understand this?! Why!?!

6. And I'm going to leave you with a little confession.

One of our favorite outings is going to Sams and getting a BIG pretzel!

It's a great treat! And buys me some shopping time!

Happy weekend friends!!
